Why not live with someone for the love of Christ?

 November 10 was a big day for fantasy writer Neil Gaiman. It was his birthday, for one thing (Happy Birthday, Neil! I love Neverwhere all the pieces and back again!). Moreover, his old lady love Amanda Palmer gave him a very unusual gift.

You see, once upon a time, long before the two met, Amanda made a living as a street performer. His concert was a living statue that a bride. Not that she planned to marry was a good idea:

I always said she would not marry.
Why not live with someone for the love of Christ?

well, everyone in my family had divorced and kept doing more and more divorced.
I felt stupid.

And yet for Neil's birthday, decides to surprise him with a 'wedding' and get themselves in their wedding finery statue again.

First, she bought a hat. Then he took off, the latest bribery against him with the promise of a cup of tea (or even try to tell me that is not dirty pool when the man is English!).
